Inspired by human nature and our desire for transport, innovation and its inevitable detriment to us and our environment.
My career and lifestyle revolves around terrestrial transport in its final form; cars. With an untold number of humans contributing to beautiful automotive design in its heritage and current form alike, it’s easy to overlook the materials we have extracted and manipulated to end up here. I want to zoom in, past the final product; past the cogs and curves that define automotive design and distinguish from that the raw earthly elements of automotive construction. Be it the ore from which we derive the base elements of electric car batteries, the ironically beautiful iridescent flow of oil or the very plants that both live and die from carbon emissions, each step in the chain - the ecosystem of transport - has an inherent beauty I intend to show through photographs.
